David started hosting student recitals in 2024 because he wanted to allow students to showcase all of their hard work to friends, family, loved ones, and other students. The goal is to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment to learn about the art of performance.
This allows students to experience a professional setting: playing with a pro-level band, collaborating with other students, and performing on the big stage!
The HGI Annual Student Showcase is a big hit every year with students and their friends, families, and loved ones. Even the staff at the club and random customers comment on how fun and enjoyable it is.
Of course performing in the recital is voluntary, but most of his students in the Seattle area want to participate!
